BLOOD IN THE WATER
BLOOD IN THE WATER: FLIGHT, DISPLACEMENT AND THE BODY
A WORK OF NARRATIVE NON-FICTION COMPRISING TEXT, SPOKEN-WORD POETRY, FILM, MUSIC AND SONG.
DATSON HUGHES is the artistic collaboration of sound artist, poet, songwriter, composer and musician Geoffrey Datson and Annette Hughes, author, songwriter, musician and cultural producer. Their multidisciplinary joint practice draws on long immersion in Australian visual, musical and literary culture, selecting and combining forms to produce multi-media installations.
Situated in the space between thought and action, intention and deed, the poetic and the political where the individual and public self overlap, this work emerges from contemplation of the relationship between the concepts of flight displacement and the body.
