INSTRUMENTALITY
Artists in residence at FundaMENTAL
In 2020 when COVID hit, we found ourselves homeless, with all our planned events and international tour cancelled.
We wound up in the Southern Highlands of NSW where we became involved with MENTALBOWRAL when director Sergei Netchaef invited us to take up residency.
Since Sept 2020 we have worked on a series of musical projects, performances, exhibitions of our recent work and collaborative projects with local artists.
We have set up the InstruMENTALity Bandcamp page and posted the first of JaMENTAL's jam highlights and our own performance under Minka Gillian's Mind Garden.
The residency also gave us the time to work on the release of our new album, Now and Forever, enabling development of a range of merchandise and production of a series of video clips of selected songs.

The new work is released on our Masterpiece label, produced by award-winning Meju (Megan Bernard and Kalju Tonuma) at their B Side studio in Melbourne.
Now and Forever is the culmination of our double album project, Day of the Dead.
My project with these music clips is to take 'masterpieces' by others and align them with our music, layering imagery and emotion; time and motion. Credits are in Youtube notes.

NOW AND FOREVER ALBUM RELEASE AND MERCHANDISE RANGE

Annette has spent the last months of the residency in development of a range of things to which to attach our music. In spite of the fact that most people don't by physical music any more, we have produced the record on Vinyl in limited edition of 100, and an extreme Luxe limited edition of 30 double vinyl box sets of DAY OF THE DEAD will become available later in the year. It will comprise both Now and Forever and Flowers and the Axe with some choice exclusive merch attached.
Our beautiful sleeve art by Ben Paskins appears on a range of neat new things, all of which come with an album download.
The VINY has landed and is now available.
